While I'm from Louisiana, I spent three years training and working in Texas. This past year I moved to Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Surprisingly, there's no mountain! The weather is great though. I teach at Central Michigan University part-time and spend the other part of my work time supporting clients in my private practice.

Background

From a young age, I felt called to listen to people’s stories. Growing up in a Cajun French family, storytelling was how we connected, shared wisdom, and made meaning. That early love of stories grew into a career in psychology, where I’ve spent years helping people better understand their own stories and feel well.

As a first-generation college student from rural Louisiana, I know what it’s like to navigate challenges without always having a clear roadmap. That curiosity and resilience led me to earn my doctorate in clinical psychology and train in diverse settings, including nursing homes, private practice, and college counseling.

Today, I bring both expertise and empathy to my work with clients. I offer a warm, creative space where we can explore challenges, discover strengths, and shape a future that feels meaningful and aligned with your values. Therapy with me is about helping you feel understood, supported, and empowered to reach the story you deserve.

In my free time...

Outside of the rewarding work I get to do as a therapist, I spend my time baking, cooking, trying new foods, capturing beautiful moments in nature, and spending time with my two cats "Toffee" and "Mr. Bradshaw." I love being outdoors and finding mindful moments to capture on camera.

I'm an integrative therapist and will use a variety of therapeutic techniques to create a personalized treatment plan with you to help you achieve your long-term goals. I will use a combination of different therapy methods, but my primary approach is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. This flexible approach allows us to work together and focus on what you specifically need throughout your treatment. As I get to know you better and understand your concerns, I may also use other proven therapy techniques to support you.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of therapy that is structured and based on proven methods. It helps people by focusing on changing negative thoughts and behaviors that can affect mental health. Instead of just looking at past experiences, CBT teaches you useful skills to handle current challenges in your life. This therapy works by helping you see how certain situations automatically trigger your thoughts and feelings, and then it aims to change those thoughts to help you feel better overall. CBT skills training can allow for you to make better decisions and experience more positive emotions in your daily life.

How an Integrative Approach can help

An integrative approach is a personalized way of therapy that combines different techniques. Instead of sticking to just one method, or a one-size-fits-all, it adapts the treatment to fit each person's unique needs. This way, it takes into account all parts of a person's well-being. There are many advantages to using an integrative approach, including:

Flexibility

It lets the therapist change the treatment plan based on how the client's needs change over time, instead of using a fixed method for everyone.

Holistic Perspective

It allows therapists to consider various parts of a client’s life, such as their feeling, thoughts, actions, and physical health.

Greater Client Engagement

By giving clients a variety of tools and techniques, they can feel more empowered to manage life’s problems and feel more motivated to engage in therapy.

Addressing Complex Issues

Life can sometimes get complicated. Sometimes people face problems that need different ways to solve them. An integrative approach allows for identifying and trying out different solutions.

Alternatives

Not all individuals are guaranteed to benefit from an integrative approach and some people prefer to receive treatment by therapists that specialize in treating a particular problem or offer treatment through one single approach or modality.
