Helpful questions to reflect on

Therapy... why now?
Reflect on some specific issues or challenges you’re facing and why you feel therapy might be helpful.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to have it all figured out! I’ll help guide you to answering these questions when we meet.
Goals?
Reflect on some of the ways you hope your story may be different with the support of a therapist.
For example, do you want to decrease how often you feel certain feelings in life or your relationships (e.g., Anxiety, Depression)?
Or maybe increase certain behaviors (e.g., work on making more friends or managing stress).
Expectations?
Reflect on the qualities of a therapist that you think will be most beneficial to help you reach your goals.
It will be my pleasure to describe my approach to you during our consultation and also briefly discuss how I can help you reach your goals.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. You don’t need to know the “right” words or even be sure what you need from therapy. That’s what we’ll explore together.
